5 steps to get your travel blog successful

Travel Blogging has recently gone a lot of popularity. Not only it has become a passion for bloggers but also lot of tourism departments are now looking forward for the travel bloggers to promote the tourism. First of all, you need to travel and be able to write about your experiences in an engaging way. Here are some steps that you should take if you want to become a travel blogger.

1. Find your Niche
There are already many travel blogs out there that are general travel blogs or that have a niche such as solo female travel or Family travel. Figure out what you really are passionate about that will make you stand out from the crowd. It could be historical or spiritual travel blogging. Or, you might like to focus on something unique such as film sets or places of worship. Whatever you decide, make your niche clear from the start and build audience that will follow that.
2. Buy your Domain and Host it
I recommend that you buy your domain on GoDaddy. GoDaddy can also host your website for just a few pounds each month. DO NOT go for a free domain such are as BlogSpot or WordPress. If you do not pay for hosting, you will not get taken seriously.
3. Write!
Once your domain+ platform+ theme is set up, all that's really left is for you to write. I think it's good to write 10-15 articles first, make sure you get a second opinion on them and then go ahead and publish them all together. An empty site looks like there's not a lot of thought put into it. It also doesn't give visitors enough reason to stick around. I'd say write until you become confident that a) people would like to read what you wrote, b) you would like people to read what you wrote. One without the other is not really a good formula for success.

4. Promote
Promoting content on social media is extremely important in order for you to become well known as a professional travel blogger. Get your content out there on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest.
5. Network and Guest Blog
Meet other travel bloggers through social media and travel blogging conferences. This will give you a back-link and improve your online profile.
